As shown over the last few pages, there are many uses for Premier wire panels: lambing pens, drop-pens, corral fencing, gates and even feeder panels. We use many panels on our farms and have learned where they succeed and how they’re abused.
Wire Panel DO’s
1. Do dig out panels from bedding/manure packs before lifting/moving.
2. Do secure panels via lag or eyebolts and pins.
3. Do continue to find more uses for them on your farm—and in the garden too!
Premier panels are easily moved and attached to one another to make pens of any size. Mix and match panels as needed to suit the needs of your buildings—it’s helpful to maintain a panel collection of varying sizes.
Wire Panel DON’Ts
1. Don’t attempt to move them with a bale spear or loader forks when the lower
rungs are buried in manure/bedding or frozen in place.
2. Don’t leave panels in place during winter. They are likely to get stuck in the mud during freeze/thaw.
3. Don’t use short (in height) panels and hope that goats or gravity resistant ewes will remain within the pen.
