We’ve had livestock guard dogs since 1980—crosses of
Pyrenees, Anatolian, Maremma, Tatra, Spanish Mastiff and Shar.
As most know, livestock guard dogs present challenges
whose solutions often involve collars, chains, drags and related
hardware. Because a guard dog’s size and strength is so unique,
finding “hardware that works” in a farmstore is very difficult.
So we asked what changes were needed and then asked our
suppliers to provide them.
Stronger, Wider Collars
• Twice as wide (2" vs 1"). Less risk of the collar chafing the hair
and skin from pulling drags and chains.
• Extra-large D loop to take the strain of large strong dogs
pulling a drag on it 24/7 without wearing out the loop.

• Made of a soft but tough nylon material that’s kind to both dog
and dog owners.
