What is it?
An electrical prefabricated mesh with line posts that—when
properly electrified
—
stops
bears.
To reduce energy leakage from tall grass, disconnect stainless
steel clips at the bottom of the net to halt power to lowest strand
(lower diagram far right)
. Useful if net is in place for several months.
Drivable posts

Reinforced cap and special ground spike enable these posts to be
tapped into hard soil with a dead blow hammer
(see p. 102).
Pos/Neg capability
Bear QuikFence can be set up as a Pos/Neg fence:

At the top of the netting, disconnect
the 2 stainless steel clips.
• Using a PowerLink
(sold separately on p. 141)
connect the lower
clip to the ground rod.
• Connect fence lead to the netting’s top clip.
What does this accomplish?
Eliminates the need for the soil to carry pulse back to the ground
rod—providing superior results when soils are dry.
The animal will receive a shock when it touches a positive (“+”)
strand and a negative (“-”) strand at the same time.

• 12 horizontal strands.
• Vertical struts every 12".
• PVC posts are 0.75" dia with a single steel spike.
Spikes are 0.31" dia, 8" long.
• Net is 35" tall when installed.
