For semi-permanent fences Moved Seasonally
Sheep QuikFence® 35"
KEEPS
OUT…
Graze all season!
It’s a subdivision or boundary fence meant to be left in place during the grazing
season. It maintains tension well, but will benefit from general care and maintenance.
• If the fence is near trees, check fences after high winds for fallen branches.
(Do so for all fences.)
• Monitor the voltage levels. Maintain at least 3000 volts if the soil is moist and 3500
volts if the soil is dry.
• Check the posts from time to time. They may begin to lean or become loose in the
soil (occurs in wet clay soils when strong winds blow the fence back and forth). To
correct this, just move the post about 1" and reset it.
What can you do with this?
• Graze orchards and vineyards.
• Keep predators away from livestock.
• Subdivide pastures for a whole season
instead of more frequent moves.
• Protect outdoor hay supplies.
• Graze stockpiled forage on pastures in
late fall or early winter.
• Use as an interim fence until a
permanent fence is installed.
• As the primary fence for temporarily
grazing fire control areas.
QuikFence compared to
PermaNet (p. 14)
Similarities
• Same strong 0.75" diameter posts
• Same verticals (string)
• Same high conductivity
Differences
• Easier to maintain (see below)
• Verticals every 24" vs 6"
• 6 horizontal strands instead of 10
• 30% less expensive per linear ft
When to use
• QuikFence for longer rotations
• PermaNet for animals that are
younger or smaller in size
Easier to
Maintain!

prevent grass from
growing into the
lower conductors.

Sheep QuikFence
6/35/24
The lowest strand of
Sheep QuikFence adjusts
as low as 7" above the soil
or higher. Allows users to
control the amount of weed-
load on the fence.
QuikFence is much easier
to maintain and remove
than PermaNet (p. 14) or
ElectroFence (p. 13) because
grass is less likely to grow
into the lower conductors.

*Pos/Neg (PN) FOR DRY SOIL
Use Pos/Neg netting in dry soils,
brown grass, or snow. It can
overcome the fence circuit’s lack of
conductivity (see p. 08).
You will also need a PowerLink (below).
