IntelliFence® Solutions for…
Sheep & Goat Fences
Temporary
Moved daily or weekly for rapid grazing
rotations. Needs to be lightweight and
easy to handle.
Netting
The best temporary fence. Why? When
properly installed, sheep, goats and most
coyotes will not penetrate it.
• Use ElectroNet Pro (see p. 10) when
grazing sheep in brushy terrains.
•
Use 35" ElectroNet® for most sheep
(non-flighty) and their guardians.
• Use the taller 42" ElectroStop® for
jump-prone sheep, goats, or their
protective guardians.
For internal sites, netting is more
reliable but higher cost per foot than
multistrand fences.
Multistrand fences
Contain most ewes and feeder lambs
with 2 or 3 strands of IntelliRope™ 4.5 or
IntelliTwine® on reels. Will not stop, dogs,
coyotes, newborns, goats, hungry sheep
or males during the breeding season.
Semi-Permanent
Moved monthly to once a year. Usually
feature taller, thicker, stronger posts and
more conductors than temporary fences.
Netting
Contain sheep and goats with
PermaNet® Pro in brushy terrain.
PermaNet®, ElectroFence® or
QuikFence®—these nets are faster to
install and remove than 4 or 5 strand
multistrand fences. More expensive but
more reliable.
Multistrand fences
Much less expensive, usually 2-5
electrified strands for internal fences.
Less reliable than the netting options
(fewer strands have less visibility).
Stronger, thicker posts are needed than
for net fences to support the conductors
over longer distances between posts.
