TO FENCING
1. Netting
• Best solution to keep out small animals
such as dogs, rabbits, woodchucks,
raccoons, foxes, feral hogs, deer,
waterfowl and chickens.
• Fast and simple to install. Experienced
users can install 500 ft of fence in less
than an hour.
• No tools, strength or special skills
needed to install the fence.
• Effectiveness quickly falls if the fence
line is not mowed or sprayed when
grass grows up into the lower strands.
• More expensive per foot than
multistrand ($0.67 vs $3.22).
Need help with eliminating
gaps under the fence?
2. Multistrand
• Not as effective as netting to fence out
raccoons. Moderately effective for feral
hogs, deer and wild geese.
• Multistrand fences are less prone
to problems with green vegetation
because lowest strand is higher above
the soil.
• More prone to installation errors.
• Much lower cost per ft ($0.11 to $0.45)—
more economical for long fences.
Actual cost is affected by the number
and type of strands, post spacing and
type of posts.
