Install fences before deer damage is
a problem. Once deer get a taste, it’s
hard to break their bad habit.
• Build fences before planting.
• Do not build across deer lane ways.
• Bait with scent caps (p. 36). They
encourage deer to test an electrified
fence with their sensitive noses.
• A large energizer (in joules of
output) is required to combat the
energy leakage of weed contact—
particularly if you don’t spray to
kill the weeds.
• Built-in line posts are every 6.8 ft.
Use FiberTuffs (p. 68) for additional
support at curves and corners.

This is a heavy (and sturdy) electrified
netting fence. We recommend it for
locations where it will not be moved
often or very far. Posts are large and
heavy to accommodate strain for weeks
to months in all seasons. Around high
value plots such as soft fruits, berries, or
new plantings.
Though all PermaNet designs are
a barrier to raccoons, coyotes, most
deer, bears, dogs and larger livestock,
PermaNet fences with verticals
every 3" also effectively stop rabbits,
woodchucks, opossums, skunks,
chickens, domesticated ducks and geese.
