Keep deer out
It’s uniquely suited to keep deer out of
orchards, vineyards, gardens or food plots.
When properly energized and baited, the
60" (5 ft) height stops deer so that they will
investigate the fence with their sensitive
noses—receiving a deterring shock.
Stands up well through wind, rain and
light snow. Handles grass contact well
because the lowest strand is 12" above the
soil (tall, mature forage conducts poorly).
Black/white conductors are easily visible
to both deer and humans. This makes it
more noticeable to animals (and people)
that wander by, enabling them to avoid
and not go through the fence.

Use Deer QuikFence as a:
• Food plot protector until you’re ready
to feed the deer.
• Garden, vineyard or orchard perimeter.
• Hardwood tree guard during rut.
Deer are creatures of habit—and to
break their habits (such as visiting your
garden or tree planting), the deterrent
must be strong and properly electrified.
• Make sure the fence is always properly
energized. Installing the energizer a
day or so after you set up the fence may
seriously reduce its effectiveness.
• Bait with scent caps (right) so deer are
encouraged to touch the fence and thus
receive a painful, memorable shock.
• If using a solar energizer, face panel
due south—to take advantage of the
most available sunlight. Never set the
energizer in the shade or partial shade.

1. Deer QuikFence requires minimal
strength and skill to install and remove.
It’s best with two people.
2. Deer, like goats, have high internal
electrical resistance (thin legs, hair, hard
hooves). Make sure fences measure
3000V or better for proper deterrence.

What are scent caps and
how do they work?
They are metal caps that are
attached to the fence and baited with
apple scent.
Deer are immediately attracted
to the scent. When they sniff the
scented cotton inside the metal cap,
they receive a strong shock and
immediately learn to stay away from
the fence.

Squeeze bottle with a lid enables precise drop-by-
drop application. A few drops or good squirt will do.
Scent Caps & Apple Scent
Always rebait the scent caps before
periods of high deer activity and
ideally every 10 days for the rest of
the season.
Apple scent is a concentrated liquid
that smells likes apples.
