New Design—Why?
Few products have met with higher user
satisfaction than our orange heat lamp.
However, it has long been our view that even
good products can be improved. The new black
lamp is our attempt to make an even better
heat lamp.
Our own tests suggest that we may have
succeeded. But we won’t know for sure until we
hear back from users across the USA.
What did we change?
1. The plastic. More expensive but should
withstand high temperatures longer.
2. The hanging method (stronger).
3. Its length from top to bottom (shorter).
4. The way the white grill attaches to the
body of the heat lamp (easier).
(below) Hanging the black lamp relies on a very strong clip that attaches securely through
an upper plastic loop that is part of the lamp itself. This is a stronger and more secure system
than allowed by the orange lamp. Clip sold separately on p. 60.
