35" Sheep &Goat Netting

Temporary

ElectroNet ® 9/35/12 • 9 horizontal strands. • 35" tall. • Vertical struts every 12". • Posts (built-in) every 12.5 ft, .50" dia. • Post spikes (SS or DS) .26" dia, 6" long. • Drivable Post (DP) version available. New! Drivable Posts… • Post can be pounded in with a dead- blow hammer or mallet. • .75 dia post with fiberglass cables. • Brown drive-cap to easily determine which posts are drivable. • Single spike only. ElectroNet ® Plus 9/35/12

Identical to ElectroNet except

line posts

are every 6.8 ft instead of 12.5 ft.

Net is less

prone to sag. Adapts easier to uneven

terrain

(see p. 107).

However, extra posts make netting

heavier—so we also shortened the roll

lengths to 50 ft and 100 ft long to make the

fence more manageable.

When installed and energized properly,

ElectroNet is a nearly impenetrable mesh

to sheep, goats, coyotes and dogs.

Contrasting black/white color

provides 24/7 visibility to animals

against all backgrounds.

Its very low electrical resistance (38

ohms/1000 ft) is important for fences that

are either long or will experience high

weed contact.

The Pos/Neg version is recommended

for dry (grass turns brown for 4 weeks or

longer) or snow-covered sites.

Uses

Actual uses almost always exceed the

purposes for which it’s purchased.

• Strip-graze pastures, turnips and rape.

• As an interim fence until a more

permanent fence can be built.

New! Electric Sheep Net 8/35/6 • 8 horizontal strands. • 35" tall. • Vertical strings every 6". • Posts (built-in) every 13.5 ft, .50 dia. • Post spikes (SS) .26" dia, 6" long. • Yellow and white.

How does Electric Sheep Net 8/35/6

compare to ElectroNet?

• Has string verticals instead of

plastic struts. So it is:

a

More prone to sagging.

a

More likely to tangle and bunch

when installing and removing.

• Has verticals occur every 6" instead

of 12".

• Has one less energized horizontal

strand (7 vs 8).

• Electrical resistance (380 ohms/1000

ft) is 10 times higher. So it is not

advised for fences longer than 2 to 3

rolls or for fences exposed to heavy

weed load.

• Is less expensive.

• Yellow/white instead of white/black.

• Enclose rams and buck/billy goats.

• Make small pastures for animals that

need attention (ewes/does/nannies

with triplets; or injured, stressed or

poor-doing animals).

• Keep coyotes, dogs and bears out.

• Keep domestic dogs in.

• Graze orchards and vineyards.

• Make lanes for moving animals.

• Water gaps that work.

• Protect outdoor hay supplies.

• Graze stockpiled forage on hay fields

in late fall and early winter.

Because it’s so easy to install and

remove, many move netting weekly—

thus reducing the length of net needed

for only a limited area instead of an

entire pasture.

Cost

ElectroNet ® 9/35/12: (SS) Single spike—71¢ per ft (DS) Double spike—79¢ per ft (SS)(DP) Drivable post—$1.34 per ft ElectroNet ® Plus 9/35/12: (DS) Double spike—$1.38 per ft Electric Sheep Net 8/35/6: (SS) Single spike—59¢ per ft

Note: We’re aware that the lower price of Electric Sheep Net will encourage folk to choose this version.

Think carefully before you do so. Customers who are unhappy with netting are often those who’ve chosen its

farmstore/catalog equivalents.

So why do we offer it? Because it is similar to nets from other sources—and comparisons make decisions easier.
