Energizer Comparison Chart

Note:

While this comparison chart (above) includes Gallagher® and Zareba® energizers, we do not supply these units.

Selected Speedrite energizers are available on our website.

PRS Solar Energizers

The cost per output

joule of our PRS units is

usually lower than the

other solar units.

Why?

No middlemen. We buy

direct—and sell direct to you.

And we don’t cut corners on

the product itself:

1. Our energizers are off-the-

shelf units that are covered

by our 2 year warranty

(p. 78)

.

2. The energizers, batteries and

solar panels are from sources

we’ve used for years.

3. The strong cases (on our

brown units) are made

specifically for us.

4. Components for our brown

PRS units are sourced

separately and assembled by

Premier technicians.

5. Free Shipping!

(See p. 6.)

Which PRS unit is

right for you?

The size, in pulse energy

output, depends almost entirely

on the weed contact that will

occur on the fence.

Weed contact in turn is

determined by:

a. How close the lowest

energized live wire is to

the grass/soil level.

For

most poultry, sheep and goat

fences, that’s less than 6"—

which is very close. For these

fences more pulse energy (a

larger energizer) is better.

In contrast, a cattle or

horse fence (lowest live wire

is 24" above the soil) has

minimal weed contact. So a

1.0 joule energizer will work

on a much longer distance.

b. How long is the fence?

A

fence that is 600 ft long will

have twice the weed contact

of a similar 300 ft long fence.

So it will need twice the

pulse energy to overwhelm

energy leakage from weeds.
