Energizer Systems
For netting to be effective, it absolutely must be electrified with an energizer! The units offered here are specifically selected for the purpose of electrifying net.

Two basic energizer types:
 Essential energizer advice
• Buy a larger energizer than necessary. When the fence pleases, most folks will buy more fence—and will therefore need additional output.
• Use a low-impedance pulse- type energizer.
• Use a fence tester to check the voltage—often.
• Install enough ground rod(s).
• Don’t go below 40% charged
on a lead acid battery.
• Always use insulated wire
designed for electric fences.
• Connect the fence to an energizer, not an outlet.
• Solar energizers need access to full sun all day (no part- shade locations).
Should I buy an energizer kit or just the energizer?
New users often prefer a kit to simplify their decision making.
However, we also know that:
1. You may already own an energizer with enough output— call us and ask.
2. Some may need larger energizers than in a kit. If so, call us and we will help you find a best-fit solution.

Energy input is 110V AC (plug-in) or DC (battery).
• Less cost to purchase and operate per joule of output than solar units.
• Combination (AC/DC) fence energizers offer the most flexibility— using either AC or DC power sources.
• Battery units are more portable (than plug-in) but they require a battery that must be periodically recharged and maintained.
• Higher output plug-in energizers are recommended for whole-farm electric fence systems.
TIP: FARMSTORE ENERGIZERS
Many farmstore energizers lack the energy output to properly energize a roll of netting.

When the sun shines, the solar panel recharges the internal battery. Users like
the “plug-and-play” simplicity of solar.
• Solar units are very portable and quick to install.
• Cost more per joule than AC/DC units because they include a battery, a solar panel and a case.
• Batteries are less effective in colder temperatures (deplete faster).
• Our energizers have variable draw, which reduces battery drain when the fence is weed free.
• Our units are sized with a 4-day battery reserve for sunless days on a clean fence. Includes a 110V adapter to recharge the unit.
