How does it compare to PoultryNet 12/48/3?
Identical to PoultryNet 12/48/3 (see p. 64) except that it has thicker posts (.75" vs .6") with longer spikes. Posts are spaced every 6.8 ft instead of 10 ft. The thicker posts and longer spikes enable PermaNet to maintain tension better, over longer periods and in looser soils. Heavier than PoultryNet (up to 9 lbs per roll).

Ideas for 48" PermaNet Plus
• Contain chickens, waterfowl and other poultry, in one location, for a month or more at a time.
• Prevent raccoons, foxes, opossums, coyotes, bears, dogs, skunks and other ground-based predators from attacking and killing poultry.
• As a perimeter fence to keep out critters and deer from gardens, fruit orchards, and sweet corn patches.
Long-term support
A sturdy (and heavy) 48" tall net. We recommend it for locations where the fence will not be moved often or very far. It’s commonly used as a perimeter fence for chicken yards or to protect gardens from varmints and deer.
Available in white/black (visible
for humans and animals against all backgrounds) or green/black (for those who prefer to have the fence blend into the background or landscape).
PermaNet’s post spikes are both large and longer. With thick line posts, this fence is notably heavier to handle (and more cumbersome) than ordinary netting.
Using two people to install PermaNet is much easier due to the weight of the product.
That makes it more difficult to install and explains why this is a semi-permanent fence. (After all, it doesn’t work to have a strong, well- supported post without large and long spikes.)
