IntelliFence® Solutions for…
Poultry, Ducks & Geese
Temporary
Quickly move the flock to fresh forage
daily or weekly. The birds enjoy the
reliable resupply of fresh forage.
Move the fence before the birds create
a patch of bare dirt (bad for both the soil
and the flock).
Fences built for mobility are lighter
than those for a longer fixed position.
Why? They’re handled often, usually by
one person—so fewer and thinner posts
are more convenient. Sagging is less
likely to occur because netting is reset
and tensioned more frequently.
The 42" nets are easier to move during
daily pasture rotations.
Use 48" nets for flightier breeds and in
locations with heavy predator pressure.
Semi-Permanent
More posts per roll. Thicker posts to
maintain tension (less sagging). Spikes
are longer for increased stability.
We’ve found PermaNet Plus 12/48/3
is best for supplying a large seasonal
foraging area around poultry coops. If
provided with a large green-plant area,
the birds are less likely to turn their runs
into bare dirt.
Non-electrified fences/pens
Some folks prefer to watch their birds
during the day and put them inside for
safety at night—a lessened need for an
electrified fence.
Note: Non-electrified netting will not stop
predators! Do not expect it to do so.
