Multistrand Fences WITH REELS
Practical portability
Up to 4 strands of IntelliBraid 3.0 or
IntelliTwine™ conductors installed on
lightweight posts spaced up to 35 ft apart.
The conductors are stored, unwound and
then rewound onto large reels such as
SupaReels™ or EcoReels™
.
For support posts, we use Step-In
FiberRods (p. 71) or PigTail Posts (p. 69).
Clips or insulators are added to the posts
(p. 78) to support conductors.
End posts must maintain tension longer
than temporary fences. So we use steel
T posts or wood posts (usually from a
permanent fence).
Longer grazing periods lead to more
grass contact—keep the lowest strand 12"
above the soil to limit weed-load.
