A five-strand 4.5mm IntelliRope fence providing
one side of containment for grazing. Use reels or other
temporary systems for portable cross fencing.

Low-cost fence solutions
Moved seasonally for a low-cost solution for fences that need to
remain in place less than 5 years.
Use steel T or wood posts for ends and corners. Use Step-in
FiberRods, FiberRods™ or steel T as line posts. Conductors (twine,
tape, rope and/or MaxiShock™) are hand-tensioned. Up to 7 strands
can be used in response to predator and livestock pressure.
We prefer 5 strands of IntelliRope® PE 4.5 for perimeter fences—
and 3 strands of IntelliRope PE 4.5 for internal fences. For sites that
are frequently dry, a Pos/Neg connection system is advised.
To prevent grass from draining energy from the fence, graze both
sides hard, use a herbicide or install a high joule energizer. (It’s best
to do all 3.)
Regular maintenance (as needed) is required to adjust tension of
conductors and reset any loose line posts. Tree limbs that fall on the
fence must be removed immediately.
Cost: as low as 26¢ per ft
Up to 25 ft between line posts
