Secure pastures
Long-lasting rope conductors, up to five,
tensioned between wood end and corner
posts and by wood or steel line posts.
Spacing of line posts must be adjusted to
the terrain. Always put a post on the top of
hills and at the bottom of valleys.
Vary the spacing of rope strands
according to type and size of horse(s),
fence usage and strands used.
Rope fences must always be properly
energized. Horses have good memories. So
never give them a chance to suspect that a
fence might not be electrified.
Common Uses
• Boundary fence. An attractive,
effective, low-cost option to vinyl and
wood fences.
• Subdivide pastures and feeding areas.
Enables feeding and pasturing horses
as individuals.
• To keep horses from hazards.
• To fence floodplains. Floodwaters flow
through rope fences more readily than
other fences.
• To prevent horses in adjacent pens from
having physical access. Little works
better than electric fence.
Cost: as low as 47¢ per ft
