NET FENCES
Line posts are already built into
netting, but support posts should be
purchased separately. FiberTuff™ posts
are our preference for support at curves,
corners, major directional changes.

MULTISTRAND FENCES
We prefer the 3/8" Step-in FiberRod for
its step-in spike and built-in drive cap for
inserting the post into hard soils.
SmoothCote™ FiberRods are an
excellent choice for all types of low-
tension conductors.
For short fences, look to PowerPosts™
.
These line posts have built-in clips and
require no additional insulators. But less
durable than our other options.
Steel PigTail Posts are extremely
sturdy, resist strain, have an animal-
friendly top and step-in spikes. However,
they are heavier and more $$.

HIGH-TENSILE FENCES
Galvanized Steel T Posts have a thick
coating to prevent corrosion. They
perform as new after years of use.

The ideal electric fence post
• Resists strain like a steel T post
• Is nonconductive
• Inserts easily
• Weighs and costs less than 3/8" diameter
FiberRods
Such a post isn’t possible, of course. But
Premier’s FiberTuff posts are a major step
toward this in ease of use, safety and
strength. We offer 2 sizes with multiple
heights for each.
Why measure deflection?
Because it matches a post’s relative ability
to resist the side-strain of a fence at corners
and curves. All posts were measured at 35"
above the soil.
PigTail posts were not included in the
diagram because 2 lbs of side strain would
not move the post.
3/8" FiberRod and 3/8" Step-In Posts have
the same deflection since both are 3/8"
fiberglass posts.
