SmoothCote™ FiberRod Posts
Pros and Cons
• Good line posts for fences with
minimal side, up or down pressure.
Will disappoint if exposed to heavy
or continuous strain.
• Self-insulating. But they need a
clip to hold the twine, tape, rope
or wire. Wire clips are inclined to
entangle with each other. Plastic
clips are a better choice.
• Our Fiberglass posts have excellent
UV coating (no splinters). Less
likely to break than plastic posts.
• Neither as heavy nor as bulky
as steel or wood posts. Easy to
carry without snagging.
• Harder to install than FiberTuff,
PigTail or PowerPosts.
4 post options:
1. 3/8"—For temporary multistrand
or added support for electrified
netting fences.
1/2"—They are so much stronger
and stiffer than 3/8" dia rods
that we use them for longer term
fences or those on hilly terrain
(they handle strain better).
3. 11/16"—For use as corner/curve/
end support posts for taller nets
(PermaNet, Deer QuikFence).
They’re not intended as line posts
so clips are not available.
Popular for use as bank poles
for catfishing.
4. 11/16" Pre-Drilled—Same
post as the 11/16" above, but has
approximately 25 pre-drilled
holes in 2" increments starting
20" from the bottom. Use these
holes to thread through 2.25mm
or 3mm twine and MaxiShock.

2. FiberRods
Unlike early fiberglass rods (or some
current farm store), our FiberRods have a
thick outer coating to resist sunlight and
splintering. Can handle without gloves.

FiberRods to help you
drive fiberglass posts
into your fenceline.
Galv. construction. For
posts up to 10mm in dia.

Drive Caps used to install FiberRods
Two very useful purposes:
1. Protects hands during installation.
2. Protects the post top when the soil is so hard you
have to tap the top of the post with a hammer.
The drive cap takes the hammer’s force,
reducing wear to the post.
