Loading
STEP 1
Place the chair in
the corner of a small pen. This minimizes catching effort. Catch the animal by the head, back it into the chair. As the back legs hit the crossbar, the rump (and most of its weight) will fall into the webbing.
STEP 2
Complete the process by lifting up the head of animal, moving it into sitting position. The animal is now securely in place (and relaxed!) for hoof trimming, treatment, ear tagging, etc. as needed.
Unloading
STEP 3
With one hand, simply tip the chair forward, with the sheep or goat inside it. Allow the animal to fall out onto its feet. Hold onto the chair or you might find yourself chasing
an animal that has firmly wedged itself into the chair.
