Why high quality is essential…
Consider that a fence insulator must:
• Resist millions of high-voltage
electrical pulses for years.
• Remain undamaged by imperfect
installation efforts.
• Resist UV sunlight degradation.
• Resist wire strain.
• Withstand high-speed animal impacts.
Steel posts for electric fences?
They work—but it is critical that steel
post insulators not break or snap off.
Why? If an energized strand touches
steel, the pulse will go down the post into
the soil. Animals can and will escape.
Insulators used on/near steel posts must
hold the conductor 100% of the time—so
take extra care when installing insulators.
A. Premier Hot Top for Steel T Posts Combines strength, safety and appearance. Covers the sharp- edged top of T Posts. Holds rope, braid, twine, wire and 1/2" tape. All edges are rounded to reduce injury risk to horses. Tap onto top of T Post. Hot Top, white, 0.20 lb............#381000 $0.75 Hot Top, black, 0.20 lb ............#381005 $0.75 F. Rope Tensioner/Insulator An innovative way to insulate, terminate and tension conductors. Conductor is inserted into center spindle and tightened to the desired point. Will hook easily to a P Spring (see in-use photo above) . Works for twine, narrow tape, rope, MaxiShock and braid—but not HT Wire. Tensioner/Ins, 0.15 lb............. #255020 $0.81130 INSULATORS

source
for
high-quality insulators at low prices—
• Because we are able to have insulators made specifically for us to
our design and specifications. We insist on high quality.
• Because we buy direct from the manufacturer in large quantities.
• Because we sell direct to you.
To select the right insulator…
1. Post type.
Wood? Steel? FiberRod?
2. Conductor
(rope vs tape vs twine vs
wire). The conductor must fit and not
be damaged by the insulator.
3. Function
(end post, corner post or
line post). Match the insulator to the
need in the fence.
4. Color/aesthetics.
White is the
most visible
. Black appeals to some
because it’s harder to see.
5. Animal safety.
A priority for horses.
Avoid insulators with sharp edges.
6. Ease of installation.
Insulators that
can be installed with power drivers
are better than those requiring nails.
7. UV resistance.
High quality black
are best; white is next
and will
outlast substandard black plastic.
