Designs for strip-grazing
Use up to 3 strands of IntelliTwine™
or
IntelliRope® supported by FiberRods or
step-in posts. Moved daily or weekly. Twine/
rope is wound, unwound and tensioned with
ageared or EcoReel™
.
At the end of the fence, conductors are
attached via hooks to existing fences and
energized by portable energizer or attaching
to an existing hot wire.
For dry soil or snowy conditions, use a Pos/
Neg system that connects one of the strands
to the energizer’s ground rod.
Common Uses
• Subdivide pastures
• Protect stored hay
• Reduce access to streams & ponds
Cost: as low as 15¢ per ft
Cost varies by type of post. Conductor cost:
• IntelliRope 4.5 more $$ than twine, but
lasts longer and is more visible.
• IntelliTwine costs the least. It’s very easy
to rewind, but not as visible as the others.

Tools: None if existing
fences serve as end posts. A
hammer may be necessary
to drive FiberRod posts into
hard soils.
Time: 1000 ft in 30 minutes in
easy conditions with existing
fences as end posts. Fencing
around/through brush and
trees takes more time.
Skill: Minimal. Set posts;
string rope/twine; attach
an energizer. Then check
voltage (3000V minimum).
