When to use the 4000s Shear

Sheep
For shearing. To remove wool for sale, prepare for shows and treat/prevent fly strike. For blocking. Most breeding sheep are blocked to prepare for the show ring.
Fiber Goats
Mohair (Angora) goats
are shorn with shearing machines. A stand will
work for a few animals but professionals hold them while shearing as they would sheep.
Llamas & Alpacas
Shorn for their fiber and also so they don’t suffer from the humid summer heat.
Debris builds up in fiber, so have extra combs and cutters on hand.
Cattle
For peeling. Rapid removal of body hair on cattle.
For blocking. Sheep heads (shears) are used to emphasize an animal’s shape.
