Multi-Rope

Semi-Permanent

Consists of up to 3 electrified strands of

IntelliRope

®

(either 6.0 or 4.5).

Differs from portable fences because it:

• Has more conductive strands.

• Uses rope instead of twine.

• Does not include windup reels

.

Why use rope instead of twine or tape?

Because it’s more visible than twine. And

it’s stronger and withstands wind, snow

and light ice storms better than twine,

polywire or tape.

The rope is hand-tensioned (to 25 to

40 lb) and supported by steel, wood or

FiberRod

line posts spaced up to 40 ft

apart. Steel T posts and wood line posts

are more expensive than FiberRods, but

they are stronger, can take more side

strain and are more reliable year-round.

End and corner posts are steel or wood.

The rope is pulled only hand-tight—which

makes this fence design superior to high

tensile wire fences for irregular fence lines

that curve or go up and down frequently.

The fence is also simple and rapid to

install and remove.

A wide-impedance energizer is advised

for 4-season fences—those that must work

when the grass stays brown or deep snow

covers the soil.

Uses

• To fence rented land.

• To subdivide pastures

for up to 5 yrs.

• Enclose cropland

for a season.

• As borders

for forests, streams, ponds.

• As an interim fence

until a more

permanent fence can be decided upon

and installed.

Cost: as low as 12¢ per ft

Three energized ropes supported by a step-in

PigTail post with 2 adjustable PigTail clips.

To install

Tools:

Cutters to cut conductors;

hand or power drivers to drive

in steel or small wood posts;

hammer to install nail-on

insulators; battery drill with

our power driver to rapidly

insert screw-in insulators.

Time:

Installing end and line

posts takes the majority (75%)

of the time. About 1000 ft in 2

hours in easy conditions.

Skill:

Simple, straightforward.
