EquiLine Star is not as easy to tie with a knot as EquiLine

(1) because it is stiffer. Gripples (2) work very well with

EquiLine Star and are fast and effective.

What is it?

A high-strength polymer

monofilament horse fence material.

Key Features:

• Safe for horses.

• Requires very little maintenance

if tensioned adequately and the

posts are properly installed.

• Very attractive.

• Resists wind, snow, ice and time

better than all other safe horse

fence materials.

• Like all nonconductive horse

fences, adding an offset energized

wire keeps horses from leaning

on or reaching through it.

• Use proper anchors, splices and

tools for best results and faster

installation

(see at right).

Cost: as low as 68¢ per ft

Installation questions?

See detailed information on our website.

How does EquiLine Star differ

from EquiLine

?

1.

Much stronger.

2. Cross-sectional shape is

star-shaped

instead of round.

3.

Less affected

by UV light.

Other things to consider

Why is it safer than HT wire?

Because it is:

• Much larger.

• Much more visible.

• More elastic (flexes away from horses

on impact).

Couplers and ends?

(See at right.)

Tension?

By hand.

(See at right.)

Spacing between posts?

Up to 20 ft.

Line posts and end posts?

Same as for

electrified rope fences

(pp. 70–71)

.

How long will it last?

Fences installed

years ago are still as new. We don't

know of any that have failed so far.
