The only marking fluid
approved as scourable
by the world’s leading
wool processors.
However, even SI-RO-MARK can cause
serious scouring issues if applied with flat irons.
(Flat irons leave too much fluid on the wool.) So
always use round irons on fine-wool breeds.
SI-RO-MARK is available from many sheep
and wool supply firms. If you are unable to find
it at your farm/ranch store, ask them to contact
Premier (this reduces your shipping $$).
Marks last 2 to 4 months.
The most “scourable” mark is no mark at all.
Shepherds with high value wool should try to avoid
any and all marks on the wool.
