Plus net

Standard net

Plus Net vs Standard Net

The key difference?

Plus nets have added posts, which

means a

shorter distance between

line posts.

More posts mean less sagging

between posts.

Those who have

used both almost always prefer the

Plus Nets.

Why do we offer both?

1. Standard is less expensive

2. Many like standard netting.

3. Users who own Plus nets seem

very pleased with it (as are we).

So we continue to supply both.

Quick notes…

1. PoultryNet Plus and PermaNet

Plus nets use the same mesh

design as standard PoultryNet.

2. Added posts = added weight.

To make the rolls easier to

handle, we shortened the

lengths to 50 ft and 100 ft rolls

(instead of 82 ft and 164 ft rolls).

Plus nets

(6'8" between posts)

Standard nets

(12' between posts)

When Plus nets excel…

1. For fences that involve curves,

corners and directional change.

Added posts enable the fence to

better adapt to corners and curves

with minimal sagging.

FiberTuff support posts are still

recommended at 90º corners.

2. When aesthetics are a concern.

Less sagging = more eye appeal.

3. When netting will not be moved.

Drawbacks of Plus nets…

1. Heavier and bulkier per foot of

linear length than standard nets.

2. More expensive (more posts).

3. The extra posts make the fence

more work to move.

When to use Standard nets…

1. The fence line is a straight with no

curves. Purchase additional posts

for corner support.

2. The energizer is strong enough to

cope with more grass contact.

This chicken run is made with a Plus net and Premier’s PRS solar

energizer. Notice the lack of sag between posts.

Use standard nets for fences with few curves and corners.

(below) Plus net in the foreground has almost twice as many posts as the Standard nets

in the background.

This reduces the sagging between the posts and decreases the possibility of energized

wires contacting the soil or wet, damp grass.
